Abstract

Information about sex should be given to children from an early age. Providing information about sex that is adjusted to the child's developmental stage so that children can easily understand what is conveyed. The method used in this study is Classroom Action Research (CAR) which is qualitative descriptive. Based on the results of the study, in general the improvement of the storytelling method in improving Education in introducing children's sex education in cycle 1 has not achieved maximum results. This is because the introduction of children to sex education has not reached 75% of the number of children who have achieved the indicator of introducing sex education to children with complete criteria, there are still many children who are starting to develop and have not developed. Based on the results of observations in cycle II. In general, the effectiveness of the storytelling method in introducing sex education to early childhood has increased to 87%. From the results of the study, both from all cycles, it can be seen that all cycles of the effectiveness of this storytelling method are very effective in introducing sex education to students, especially early childhood. The end of the cycle II study, students in recognizing early childhood sex education were very good. The percentage increased and had reached the target desired by the researcher. Sex education in early childhood is very effective through the storytelling method, as seen from their enthusiasm in reading 1 paragraph story books in turns. Then the children can understand what is meant in the story book. And they can show expressions either from body movements or faces.
